Greta Gorzoni, who joined the LPL at the start of the 2026 academic year, won the “Emanuele Pianta” Award for the best master’s thesis (NLP) at the Annual Italian Conference on Computational Linguistics (CLiC-it), held this past September in Palermo, Italy.

In addition, Greta has been awarded a fellowship to conduct her dissertation project at the LPL—under the supervision of Laurent Prévot and Francesca Di Garbo—which focuses on structural abstraction in neural language models, particularly schematicity, typological variation, and cognitive plausibility.
