Workshop "Language in Interaction"

Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd July 2026
Laboratoire Parole et Langage, conference room B011

From 1 to 3 July, the LPL will host the ‘Language in Interaction’ workshop which brings together four research labs in the EU working on topics related to the cognitive and neurobiological study of ‘Language in Interaction’: Anna Kuhlen’s research team from RWTH Aachen University in Germany, Cristina Baus’ research team from the University of Barcelona in Spain, Rasha Abdel Rahman’s research team from Humboldt University in Germany, and Kristof Strijkers’ research team from the CNRS and Aix-Marseille University in France. The objective of the workshop is to present and discuss the work on the common topic of investigating language through a social lens, rather than the traditional individualistic approach that dominates the field. A noteworthy particularity of the workshop is that all presentations concern doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, thereby stimulating collaboration and scientific communication not only amongst the PIs, but importantly amongst early-career academics. The long-term objective of the workshop is to establish a European consortium and collaborative network to investigate ‘Language in Interaction’.

The event is open to anyone who is interested – please check out the programme!
