Mission of the division

The mission of the Research & Development – Instrumentation division is to develop scientific instrumentation for experiments conducted within the laboratory as well as for field experiments.

This division develops innovative instrumentation (R&D) to meet the future needs of experiments in the medium and long term, covering both hardware and embedded software. Finally, the R&D – Scientific Instrumentation division is also tasked with conducting technology watch to identify new resources useful for the development of scientific instrumentation.

The R&D – Scientific Instrumentation division works closely with the laboratory’s commercialisation unit, as well as with the structures made available by the supervisory bodies (SATT, PEI, Carnot, etc.).
